A dynamic link of your fav systems
It’s brilliant having link ups of your systems so they talk to each other, right? But it’s even better if there’s nifty functionality so we can use the data across platforms. Well here’s some epic news as the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Add-In within Outlook is super helpful and will provide you with time saving tricks. It works on all versions of Outlook 365; desktop, mobile and web browser.
Many of us reside in Outlook for most of our working day; being able to quickly link to your Business Central data and do your daily activities will make you more efficient. Whether you are talking to contacts within your Customer or Vendor cards you can do so much like raise purchase invoices, generate invoices from calendarized appointments or send a current price over.
A bustling business inbox
So if you get an email from a customer requesting a quote you can open the Business Central add-in in Outlook. The sender will be recognised automatically, and the customer card opened where you can view all the customer info you hold in your Dynamics 365 Business Central system. You’ll be able to dive into the sales history and look at all the documents previously issued before creating a quote.
Everything you need is available in Outlook to generate the quote and email it over to the customer. And whatever you do in Outlook will be right there in Business Central for other colleagues to view.
What’s more you can generate a new customer from your Outlook add-in or quickly edit existing Business Central contact details.
The exact same applies to the purchase ledger too! You can receive purchase invoice emails from suppliers that have PDF attachments. Machine learning will read what they’ve sent you and let you create the invoice from directly within Outlook. You can even match to a PO in Dynamics 365 Business Central as well. Use approvals? No problem! They work right from Outlook as well.
